For privacy inquiries, access, correction or deletion requests about information held by Joy Luck Dating, email hello@joyluckdating.com. Please do not send unnecessary birth details or identification documents. A report generated only in your browser is not available for us to retrieve.
To ask to leave the launch-update list, email hello@joyluckdating.com from the address you registered, with the subject “Stop launch updates.” This is a contact-based request process, not an automated unsubscribe portal.
This notice explains the information used by the Joy Luck Dating website, its personal Four Pillars chart, and its free compatibility preview at demo.joyluckdating.com. Joining the email update list and generating a report are separate choices.
Email update list
If you join the circle for launch updates, the sign-up form sends your first name and email address to Joy Luck Dating. We store them with a generated record ID and the date and time of registration in a Cloudflare D1 database. We use the registration to maintain the list of people who have asked for Joy Luck Dating launch updates.
The current sign-up form stores your registration; it does not send an automatic confirmation email. Joining does not create a dating profile, a report account or a paid subscription. You do not need to join the list to use the free compatibility preview.
Sign-up records remain in the waitlist database unless removed. The current system does not automatically delete them after a fixed period. Clearing the report form, closing your browser or deleting a downloaded report does not remove a waitlist registration.
Free compatibility preview
The preview uses the nicknames or labels, birth dates, birth times, selected birthplaces and time zones, relationship type, optional relationship status and family roles entered in the form to calculate a report in your browser. You may leave names blank or use nicknames or initials instead of full legal names.
Birthplace search runs on your device using a public city list downloaded from this website. The calculator does not send the words you type, the entered birth details or the generated report to a city-search provider or to a Joy Luck report database. It does not require an email address, account or payment details to generate a report.
The preview does not intentionally save the form details or permission selections in cookies or browser local storage. They remain in the current page while you use it. Browser features such as autofill or page restoration may behave differently depending on your settings.
Personal Four Pillars chart
The personal chart at joyluckdating.com/personal-chart.html is separate from the two-person compatibility preview. It uses your name or nickname, birth date, optional birth time, birthplace, time zone, selected sex for traditional calculations, and any optional solar-time settings to generate a reading in your browser. These chart inputs and the report are not submitted to a Joy Luck report database or intentionally saved in cookies or browser local storage. Browser autofill and page restoration may retain information according to your browser settings.
Unlike the compatibility preview's local city list, the personal chart requests place suggestions from Open-Meteo. The typed place name is sent to its geocoding service, which also receives network information such as your IP address. Your name, date of birth and generated chart are not included in that place-search request. The personal chart also requests typefaces from Google Fonts.
The personal chart's optional email field addresses an email draft opened on your device; it does not subscribe you to updates or send mail automatically from Joy Luck. Downloading or choosing a share or email action may create copies on your device or with services you select. Review the recipients and contents before sending. You can leave the page or clear its fields to stop using the chart; this does not remove downloaded or shared copies.
Adult users and parent and child readings
You must be 18 or older to operate the preview. Romantic, friendship and business readings are for two adults, both 18 or older. Before entering another adult's details, obtain their permission for this reading and share this notice and the preview's privacy information with them.
In Parent & child mode, an adult parent or legal guardian may enter their minor child's details and authorize the reading. Children must not operate the preview themselves. For a reading about an adult child, obtain that adult's permission and share the privacy information first. Use only the information needed for the reading and protect the child's privacy when keeping or sharing a report.
The age and permission statements are self-declarations. They are not independent identity checks, age verification or verification of another person's consent.
Website delivery and third-party requests
Our hosting and delivery providers process the network requests needed to load and protect the websites. Technical information may include IP addresses, browser details, pages or public files requested and security logs. Local chart calculations do not mean that no technical data leaves your device. Cloudflare also provides the database used by the email update list.
The free preview loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Google receives the font requests and associated network information, such as your IP address. Those font requests do not contain the birth details or report entered in the preview.
Downloading, printing and clearing a report
PDFs are generated in your browser. Downloads and printouts contain the details and reading shown in the report. Copies may remain on your device, in synced storage, with a print service or with someone you choose to share them with. Get permission before sharing another adult's details or a joint report, and avoid unnecessary sharing of a child's information.
Unchecking the permission statement clears entered birth details and the report from the preview. Switching into or out of Parent & child mode also clears them and asks for a fresh confirmation. This does not erase downloads, printouts, browser-managed data, provider logs or a separate waitlist registration. Joy Luck cannot delete copies that you or another recipient control.
Your choices and rights
You can use the free preview without joining the email update list. You can choose not to provide birth information or stop using the form at any time. Depending on the laws that apply, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of information held about you, to object to or restrict certain uses, to withdraw consent where relied on, or to complain to a privacy regulator. A report generated only in your browser is not available for Joy Luck to retrieve from a report account or database.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when the described features or information practices change. New features, payments or new uses of personal information will be explained before they are introduced where required. An update to this notice does not itself subscribe you to marketing or authorize new uses of your information.
Cookies and tracking
Hosting and security services may set cookies needed to deliver and protect the websites, including Cloudflare bot-management cookies. The reviewed compatibility calculator does not use advertising trackers or save birth-detail inputs in cookies. Browser Do Not Track signals do not change the calculator’s processing. Provider-level technical processing is separate; see Cloudflare and Google’s privacy information for their services.
