1. About Joy Luck Dating
Joy Luck Dating offers automated relationship readings and a personal Four Pillars chart using birth-based principles drawn from traditional Chinese feng shui and related Five Elements and Four Pillars frameworks. These terms apply to the Joy Luck Dating website at joyluckdating.com, its personal chart and optional launch-update list, and the free compatibility preview at demo.joyluckdating.com and its hosted version. They do not set terms for any future paid service.
Please read these terms, the Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer before using the website or preview. If you do not agree to these conditions, do not use it. This preview does not provide matchmaking, messaging, identity checks, or background checks.
2. Adult users, family readings, and permission
You must be at least 18 to join the launch-update list or operate this preview. Romantic, friendship, and business readings are for two adults, both at least 18. Provide information you are entitled to use. Before entering another adult’s details, obtain their permission for this reading and share the Privacy Policy and free preview privacy information with them.
Parent & child readings are entered by an adult parent or legal guardian. In this mode only, that adult may enter details for their child under 18 and authorize the reading. Children should not enter their own details or use the preview themselves. For an adult child, obtain their permission and share the privacy information first. Parent & child mode requires both birth hours and your selections of Mother or Father and Son or Daughter. It explores each person’s perspective using their own birth details, then compares the animal symbols linked to both people.
Do not impersonate anyone or falsely confirm permission. The acknowledgment confirms your choice on screen; it is not independent verification of the other person’s consent and does not remove any obligations that applicable law places on Joy Luck Dating.
3. Free access and optional launch updates
The current preview is free. No account, email address, payment details, or purchase is required to generate or open the full report. Using it does not start a subscription and will not automatically result in charges.
If paid features are introduced later, their price and conditions will be presented separately before you choose to purchase. Access to this free preview may change or end as the service develops; that does not authorize charging you.
Joining the optional launch-update list is separate from generating a report. If you choose to join, provide your own first name and email address and select “Join the circle” on the separate launch-update form. That action requests occasional Joy Luck Dating launch updates. Agreeing to these terms or using the preview does not by itself enroll you in marketing. The Privacy Policy explains the information stored for the update list. Joining does not guarantee a launch date, future features or access to a future paid service.
4. Your information and report
In the two-person compatibility preview, birthplace searches and readings are processed in your browser. That calculator downloads the same public city list for visitors; it does not send the words you type, birth details, or report to a city-search provider or submit them to Joy Luck’s database. Nicknames are optional, and you may leave names blank.
The separate personal Four Pillars chart is for adults exploring their own information. A nickname is sufficient. Its calculations and PDFs are generated in your browser, but its birthplace suggestions send the typed place name to Open-Meteo, as explained in the Privacy Policy. No account or payment is required; optional email and sharing actions use services on your device. Its reading is a traditional perspective for reflection, not a psychological assessment or a prediction of your future.
The calculator does not intentionally save your inputs in cookies or browser local storage. Browser autofill and page restoration may behave differently depending on your settings. Website hosting may still involve technical logs, including IP addresses and requests for pages or public files. The site also loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives font requests and network information such as your IP address, not your entered birth details or report. You can uncheck the permission box to clear the entered details and report. Switching to or from Parent & child mode also clears them and asks for a fresh confirmation. A file or printout you choose to save remains under your control; clearing the form does not delete those copies. Do not share another adult’s details or a joint report without their permission. Protect a minor’s privacy and avoid unnecessary sharing of their details or report.
5. Responsible use
Use the preview for personal reflection and conversation. Do not use it to harass, threaten, stalk, manipulate, discriminate against, or expose another person. Do not treat the report as a basis for decisions about someone’s employment, housing, credit, insurance, health care, or other essential opportunities.
A parent–child reading must not be used to label a child, justify punishment or withholding care, or make decisions about custody, education, or health. It is not an assessment of development or parenting ability. An adult remains responsible for safe, age-appropriate care and for respecting an adult child’s autonomy.
Do not disrupt the website, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorized access, or bypass security measures. Joy Luck Dating may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the service.
6. Limits of the reading
This is an interpretive tool, not a scientifically validated compatibility test, prediction, or guarantee. Birth information, city coverage, historical time-zone rules, and unknown birth times can affect results. A report does not assess a person’s character or safety and does not establish that a relationship will succeed or fail.

7. Content and permitted copies
Joy Luck Dating’s branding, design, and original website content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may view, download, and print your report for personal use, respecting the other person’s privacy. Do not falsely present the site or report as your own service or as a professional certification.
Third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses. The adapted city database is from GeoNames under CC BY 4.0; details are in the city-data attribution. These terms do not restrict permissions granted by that license.
8. Availability and your legal rights
The preview is provided on an available basis. Results may contain errors, and uninterrupted availability or suitability for a particular purpose is not promised. Those limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, guarantees, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections. These terms do not require arbitration, waive class-action rights, or require you to bring a claim in a particular country.
9. Changes
Updates will be published here with a revised date. Material changes will be brought to visitors’ attention where required by law, and additional agreement will be requested where necessary. Changes will not retroactively authorize new uses of information, enroll you in marketing or turn this free preview into a paid subscription.
